The Brother HL-L2390DW is a compact, entry-level black-and-white laser all-in-one (AIO) printer designed for small home offices with low print and copy volume requirements. On the other hand, the Brother model lacks some key features, such as the Automatic Document Feeder (ADF) for sending multi-page originals to the scanner. Although the printer is not the fastest entry-level monochrome laser available today, it is fast enough and has a very low operating cost, ideal for small and medium-volume printing and copying in small home offices or personal black-and-white laser printers. it comes with a 50-page automatic double-sided ADF. Automatic double-sided printing means that the machine can scan both sides of a two-sided document without having to manually flip them. The HP M130fw has a slightly smaller capacity, automatically prints ADF (35 sheets) on both sides, and the machine itself is smaller and lighter. The Brother HL-L2390DW has a paper capacity of 251 sheets and is divided into 250 main cartons and a single-page feed slot. Both support the largest standard size of paper (8.5 x 14 inches). The maximum monthly space-to-air ratio for this printer is 15,000 pages, with a recommended maximum of 2,000 pages. Input configurations, connectivity, and query tasks (such as copying or printing from a cloud site) on the printer are handled by a monochrome non-touch display surrounded by several buttons, The printer does not support Ethernet, and while it does support Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi Direct, it is unusual for lasers (or most other commercial-oriented printers). In addition, it does not support USB thumb drives or any other storage devices. Brother provides its own mobile device connectivity through its iPrint-Scan mobile app for connecting to cloud sites. Other third-party configuration connectivity options include Google Cloud Print, Apple AirPrint, and others. Almost every Web-connected workstation and all mobile devices support supported security options, such as monitoring and configuring the Brother HL-L2390DW printer itself through secure Web server (HTTPS and SSL) protocols. Finally, in addition to the standard Brother drivers for Windows and macOS, you get the Nuance PaperPort 14SE w/OCR for Windows (available by download), a fairly powerful document manager that helps you convert scanned text to a variety of different types of editable text applications, including document archiving.
