Brother MFC-J6945DW Manual (PDF File / Download)

Brother MFC-J6945DW is a lightweight to medium-sized large-form, all-in-one inkjet printer designed for small offices. It not only prints, but also copies, scans, and fax tabloid-sized pages, and has sufficient paper input capability. Most importantly, it prints well and costs a lot of money per page. The printer measures 14.9 x 22.6 x 18.8 inches (HWD) and weighs 53.1 pounds, the printer has a paper capacity of 600 sheets, between 250-page drawers on the front and 100 multi-function trays on the back. All three automatic double-sided paper sources support tabloid-sized paper at most, while the 50-page single-sided double-sided automatic document feeder (ADF) also supports it. Brother MFC-J6945DW has a maximum of 30,000 pages per month and is recommended to print 2,000 pages per month. You can make configuration changes and set up and perform roaming functions from the printer’s spacious and easy-to-use control panel, Also, you can monitor AIO from the built-in Security (HTTPS) Web site, called Web Config, generate reports and make configuration changes, as shown in the following image. For example, on a status page, you can graphically view the amount of ink and roughly see the remaining pages and the amount of ink in the paper tray. Also note the internal ink cartridge status indicator, which tells you how much ink is left. Of course, the AIO for printing, scanning, copying, and fax tabloid-size pages must be large enough to accommodate and process oversized paper. Everything from paper trays, scanners, automatic document feeders (ADFs), and paper channels themselves must be wide-format, about twice the width and depth of standard Let letter-sized media. Brother rated MFC-J6945DW at 22 pages per minute (ppm). The standard interface for printers is Ethernet, Near Field Communication (NFC), USB 2.0, Wi-Fi, and Wi-Fi Direct. NFC and Wi-Fi Direct are point-to-point network protocols that connect mobile devices to printers without connecting them or mobile devices to an intermediate network or router. The mobile connections that include these two equivalent protocols are very extensive. Brother’s Web Connect cloud service allows you to connect directly to the personal and corporate versions of Box, Dropbox, Evernote, Google Drive, OneDrive, and OneNote. Other Brother cloud applications include Office Print (for printing from mobile and 365 versions of Microsoft Office), Scan to Office (for scanning to mobile and online versions of Microsoft Office), Scan to Mobile, Cloud Secure Print, and Easy Scan to Email. And, if that’s not enough, you can always check the old-fashioned and scan to and print from the USB thumb drive via the port on the left side of the chassis of Brother MFC-J6945DW.
